Quilled Durga

I am thankful to dear Dr Anisha for placing this order. I have quilled Durga face earlier you can check it out here and here. This is after several years and I tried a different design. I drew out the design for the ornaments and crown and cut them out before I quilled. Getting symmetry on both sides was quite a challenge. I have used brighter colours here and very happy at how it all came together.

Quilled verse.

This is a special gift I made for a dear friend Shobitha . This is her favourite verse .

The wordings was the most difficult part and took the most time. I alwasys wanted to try using the whole bunch of strips in quilling and I have done it here . the rest are mostly flowers using tight coils. 

The feather is my favourite part. I am so happy that they turned out better than I had expected.

 This fun little card was a request from my old student Samyuktha. It was very much fun to quill this. All paper are pre cut 5 mm . I used the beehive technique for this.
