colourful card

I wanted to make a colourful card for a friend, I wanted to do a lot of quilling for this card but just this one quilled flower seemed right on this card.

Another small card, I folded the pink colour paper and cut the center out with craft scissors before sticking it on to the card and with that piece of paper I made the rose:).

Butterfly

This is a small card and my first quilled butterfly.
I found this butterfly in the quilledcreations gallery.
I have used only quilling paper for the butterfly. Quilling paper is  best for quilling , the colours are brilliant and since the strips are all of the same width the completed work looks so beautiful.


 I learnt about quilling from folding trees.  It was there I saw the tutorial for quilled snowflakes. I took to quilling at once, I learnt the basic shapes from that tutorial. Later I learnt more from so many wonderful blogs in the internet.


I started quilling using colour paper and my tapestry needle. Now I have quilling paper and slotted quilling tool. But I still prefer the needle and I still use coloured paper along with quilling paper,especially for stems of flowers.


Its just rolling and pinching of paper but for me it has the appeal of both embroidery and water colour painting. 

pretty in pink

Here's a birthday card. I decided I would use only pink  for this card and no creepers.
The flowers were easy but I found the lettering tough. 

Lacy card

I started quilling this  many days ago but left off after finishing the center circle. I finished it today and stuck it to a card. My friend said it looks like lace so I call it " lacy card".

Gift tags

This is the owl I saw on Ann Martin's card .I couldn't resist it.While I was about it I made some more quilled animals to be used as gift tags.

I made these seeing images on the internet. Since I am quite new to quilling , I found it a little bit difficult .
My kids too had lot of fun seeing me quill these cute animal figures. They were amused at how I managed to give them all big mouths.

I have tried to use lesser glue and so this card is neater than my last one.
